Ingredients
  

Butter and Cocoa Mixture

  • ½ cup butter sliced into pieces
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk preferably whole milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Final Ingredients

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats optional: pulse old-fashioned oats

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all of your ingredients and measure everything out. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Cooking

  • Combine the butter, sugar, milk, and unsweetened cocoa powder in a large saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring often until the butter melts. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 60 seconds, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until fully combined. Mix in the oats until everything is well combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. Allow to cool for 20 to 30 minutes, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Cookies may be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Once cooled completely, store in a freezer bag or container for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving.
