Salad Ingredients

  • 3 hearts romaine lettuce washed, dried, and chopped
  • ½ onion onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1 whole lemon juice and zest
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • crushed red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine romaine, onion, parmesan, lemon juice, lemon zest, and olive oil in a bowl.
  • Toss to combine evenly.
  • Taste and add salt, pepper, and/or crushed red pepper flakes, if needed. Toss again and serve!

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for better texture and flavor. Refrigerate the romaine for 15-20 minutes for extra crunch. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
